Changing cursors, dynamic sliders, etc. from a mostly user/sometime
programmer point of view:
I think that forcing every programmer to do these things for eacc program
is a bad idea. What we will end up with is every program doing them a
slightly different way and some programs not working on some setups, and
a general trend towards INconsistency in look & feel, which is the
opposite point of this group. I think that implementing things should be
as close to what GEM offers as standard, and if a program wants to patch
out the routines and write something that affects the behaivor of all
programs in the same way, that is the way to add features. Barring, of
course, newer versiobns of the OS that add the support.
